It depends on whether they were washed. Washing strips the cuticle, the natural coating on the shell, and washed eggs need to go in the fridge. Unwashed eggs keep on a counter for a good while in a cool kitchen — but once you refrigerate them, keep them there. Ask the seller which you're getting; plenty deliberately don't wash.
